Micah Mandate is a student journal sponsored by the J.V. Morsch Center for Social Justice at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN. The journal features the social justice works of non-profit organizations, individuals with a servant’s heart and students of the university promoting social justice in the Nashville area and abroad.
Inspired by the scripture verse Micah 6:8, Micah Mandate gets its name. “…And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8 NIV. This lifestyle mandate to Christians is what the J.V. Morsch Center for Social Justice instills in students as they study and practice bringing social justice to their neighbors.
